The Victorian Aboriginal Palliative Care ProgramExternal Link is being undertaken by the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO)External Link , in partnership with Palliative Care VictoriaExternal Link .

The project’s vision is to create a sustainable and culturally safe palliative care service system where Aboriginal people from all over Victoria can access palliative care services.

The project aims for Aboriginal people to have access to end of life and palliative care services in the setting of their preference and for palliative care services to provide culturally safe services to Aboriginal people.

It also aims to develop and increase the awareness and access to palliative care services and to develop a long and lasting relationship between palliative care providers and VACCHO.
