How applications are assessed
The department assesses new applications and requests to change existing licences or permits to determine an organisation's capacity to comply.
Assessments may include:
- inspection of the applicant’s corresponding premises
- review of the applicant’s security and storage arrangements
- review of the applicant's relevant processes (such as those for record-keeping, access and supply)
- assessment of whether the applicant is fit and proper, see Fit and proper persons requirements.
