Key messages
- A fee must be paid when you apply for a non-emergency patient transfer (NEPT) licence.
- Licence holders must also pay renewal fees.
All applications for a NEPT licence, approval in principle, licence renewal, variation and transfer require payment of a fee. The fee amounts are set by the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Regulations 2026 and are indexed annually.
