Complaints we do not manage
The Department of Health manages complaints related to services we provide, fund, or regulate. If your complaint is about something else, there are other organisations that can help.
If you want to raise a concern with any of the following organsiations, you need to contact them directly.
- Services Australia, including Centrelink and
- Services provided or commissioned through the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing , such as public housing, reporting child abuse and neglect and homelessness
- GP practices and private medical specialists
- Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and , such as a private aged care facility
- National Disability Insurance Scheme
- Issues that need to be managed by a local , such as waste management, food and hygiene standards, parking fines and pest control
Complaints we may not accept
Some complaints may be better handled by independent regulators.
If your issue isn't something the Department of Health manages, or you're unhappy with how your complaint has been handled, you can contact the relevant regulatory body.
