The department is committed to taking action on climate change and to supporting the community to stay healthy in a changing climate.

We are taking action to reduce emissions and support adaptation to climate change.

The Victorian public health and wellbeing plan 2023-2027 sets out a comprehensive approach to deliver improved public health and wellbeing outcomes for all Victorians.

The department has developed guidance to support local government in addressing climate change and its impacts on health through municipal public health and wellbeing planning.

The department has developed a policy template and guide to support Victorian organisations adopt healthy and more sustainable food procurement practices.
