The Violence in Healthcare Taskforce report (June 2016)

Following the release of Occupational violence against healthcare workers, the Victorian Minister for Health, the Hon. Jill Hennessy MP established the Violence in Healthcare Taskforce to identify and make recommendations on opportunities to reduce violence in Victorian hospitals, as well as support the implementation of the Victorian Government's commitment to address occupational violence and aggression in healthcare. The taskforce released Violence in Healthcare Taskforce report: taking action to reduce violence in Victorian Hospitals in June 2016.

Progress on occupational violence prevention (2012)

The department released a paper in December 2012 providing an overview of the progress on occupational violence prevention following the Taskforce on Violence in Nursing.

Parliamentary Inquiry (2011)

The Victorian Government conducted a Parliamentary InquiryExternal Link into violence and security arrangements in Victorian hospitals. The report was released in December 2011.

The Victorian Taskforce on Violence in Nursing (2005)

In 2004 the Victorian Government established the Victorian Taskforce on Violence in Nursing to examine key issues and recommend strategies to address occupational violence against nurses and midwives. The taskforce report was released in 2005, together with a report on the analysis of Code Grey and Code Black events in four Victorian public hospitals.
