Department of Health

Conduct research with the Department of Health

The Department of Health uses research to make decisions, develop policies, and guide our programs. We collaborate with external research partners, including universities, medical research institutes, and not-for-profit organisations.

Researchers must receive support from a relevant program or policy area to undertake research in partnership with the department. Researchers may be asked to provide further information about their research proposal, including how research aligns with the department’s translational research priorities and principles.

The Health and Medical team enables research by connecting researchers with relevant departmental program and policy areas, facilitating access to departmental resources, and supporting research translational to policy and practice.

If you require any assistance or guidance, please contact the Health and Medical Research team at research@health.vic.gov.au.
