Government school students

Any student enrolled in a Victorian government primary, secondary or specialist school is eligible. They do not need a healthcare card, Medicare card or the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).

Virtual School students

Students attending Virtual School Victoria are eligible for free treatment at their local community dental clinic. Use this link to find your nearest community dental clinicExternal Link and contact them to make an appointment.

Non-government school students

From 2026, Smile Squad will begin offering services to students enrolled in primary and secondary low fee non-government schools.

Early childhood services/kindergarten students

Children in early childhood services/kindergartens are not eligible for this service. Unless your kindergarten has the Smiles 4 MilesExternal Link program, all Victorian children aged 0-12 years can get free or low-cost dental care at Victorian local community dental clinics.
