The department has developed guidance for sex workers living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in partnership with Living Positive Victoria, Positive Women Victoria, Vixen and Scarlet Alliance.
The law in Victoria has changed. It is no longer illegal for people living with HIV to work as sex workers.
This guidance is the main source of information to support sex workers newly diagnosed or living with HIV in Victoria. It is a companion document to the
