A limited X-ray service in small rural health service is defined as a service that has one or more appropriately trained and licensed GPs, registered nurses or other registered health professionals who are licensed under the Radiation Act 2005 to perform a limited range of X-rays on patients who are assessed (and properly referred) by an authorised referring practitioner as requiring diagnostic imaging.
