This document details changes to the ESIS removal codes for patients receiving elective surgery in 2014-15. Elective surgery performance indicators aim to encourage improved performance in managing healthcare for elective surgery patients. Elective surgery services should be provided in accordance with the Elective surgery access policy (2009).
