High-impact interventions for occupational violence: building better partnerships between police and health services

The Building Better Partnerships (BBP) initiative identified ways to improve the way health services engaged with their local police and other key agencies (ambulance and correctional services) to develop and implement strategies for preventing and managing occupational violence.

As part of the BBP initiative 11 demonstration sites identified five high-impact interventions that focused on issues impacting on occupational violence in healthcare settings. This guidance note summarises the advice and recommendations from the 11 demonstrations sites under the five high-impact areas.
