Final report: Evaluation of the Council of Australian Governments Long Stay Older Patients (COAG LSOP) Victorian Initiative 2006-10

In May 2010 the Victorian Department of Health contracted Australian Healthcare Associates (AHA) to undertake an evaluation of the Victorian implementation of the Council of Australian Governments Long Stay Older Patients (COAG LSOP) initiative for the period 2006-10. The objective of the evaluation was to examine the performance of the Victorian implementation of COAG LSOP against the set aims of the initiative, with a focus on measuring effectiveness and efficacy of the statewide approach. The two major program components included in the evaluation were the Improving Care for Older People (IC4OP) and Hospital Admission Risk Program Better Care for Older People (HARP-BCOP) initiatives.
