Body-worn cameras policy template

This policy provides guidance to staff and contractors (including information technology (IT) and security personnel), management, and other stakeholders on the ethical, lawful and efficient use of body-worn cameras and recorded data.

This policy template has been developed to guide health services to procure and use body-worn cameras.

The policy template details the department’s expectation that health services will develop workplace policies relating to body-worn cameras that contain certain core elements, while giving health services the flexibility to determine camera-related procedures and other arrangements based on local conditions, operational requirements and resources.
