Mernda Community Hospital is now open

The video begins with a view of the new Mernda Community Hospital from the sky. The hospital has dark coloured striped walls and a white roof. It has paths and grass and roads around it. We fly down towards the building as the text comes on screen.

Text on screen: Welcome to Mernda Community Hospital. One of Victoria’s new small public hospitals. We now see rooms inside the hospital. These include corridors with comfortable looking seating, a dental chair in a bright room and a room with other medical equipment.

Text on screen: Services available include dental, paediatric, allied health and pharmacy.

We now see some of areas outside the hospital. Wooden benches are set beside newly planted plants. The sky is bright blue.

Text on screen: Next year more services will open, including urgent care, dialysis and community mental health.

The scene shifts to looking at the hospital in the distance from the sky. There are lots of houses and green space around the hospital building.

Text on screen: It’s part of the Community Hospitals Program, helping to ease pressure on major hospitals, and support care closer to home.
