In response to the Hazelwood Mine Fire Inquiries, the Latrobe Valley has been designated a Health Innovation Zone.

Federation University is working with the Department of Health and Human Services and all of the community to develop the Latrobe Health Innovation Zone charter. The charter will help the community define what they want the Latrobe Health Innovation Zone to be and what it should do.

Deloitte is working with the Latrobe community to evaluate the Latrobe Health Innovation Zone, the Health Assembly and the Advocate.

Community input is essential to making this a community-driven process.

As part of this process, Federation University and Deloitte, alongside the Department of Health and Human Services, held community workshops in Churchill, Moe, Morwell and Traralgon throughout September and October 2017, so that Latrobe residents could share their ideas on what this means to them and their community. Those who couldn't attend the workshops were invited to comment and share their views via an online survey. This survey was open for two months and closed on 2 November 2018.

However, it's not too late to have your say.
