Key messages

  • The Victorian Population Health Survey (VPHS) provides an annual assessment of the health and wellbeing of adults in Victoria and the determinants of that health and wellbeing, including the social determinants of health.
  • The survey’s findings are used to inform evidence-based policy development and strategic planning across the Victorian government.

In 2019 the survey was conducted at a state-wide level with a sample size of approximately 7,200.
