Mildura dental care boost

Mildura residents have even better access to public dental care close to home with the opening of an expanded dental clinic at Sunraysia Community Health Services.

The $5.7 million project has doubled the number of dental chairs.

Next year, in conjunction with La Trobe University, the facility will include an eight-chair training centre for students, fulfilling a State Government commitment.

Sunraysia Community Health Services provides a range of services in Mildura and Merbein.

‘Completion of stage one of this facility is the culmination of an enormous amount of hard work and continued efforts from a range of people over the past 10 years,’ said Chief Executive Officer Craig Stanbridge.

‘The opening celebrates this achievement and continues the journey for us towards stage two development, which will eventually consolidate all of our services on to the one site.’

Other services currently provided from or based at the new facility are drug treatment services, chronic disease management, health promotion and worker health checks.
