Northern Health thanks its emergency nurses

Northern Health marked National Emergency Nurses Day by honouring the commitment and hard work of its ED staff.

‘I am constantly in awe of the hard-working, dedicated and compassionate nurses in our emergency department,’ said emergency services divisional director Cindy Joffe.

‘Their ability to adapt to the ever-increasing workload demands and still support and care for each other and their patients is truly remarkable.

‘They are a fantastic team who are committed to improving the outcomes for all their patients.’

‘Thank you to all of the ED nurses who are constantly on the forefront, for their hard work and resilience – their efforts are very much appreciated,’ said emergency department nurse unit manager Janice Fernandes.

Northern Health is the busiest emergency department in the state with more than 100,000 patients seen – and has the best ambulance offload performance in Victoria.
