My Health Record holds health information about individual consumers that is accessed securely through the public internet.
Victorian health services are connected to the My Health Record and have obligations to implement policies and processes to maximise the security associated with uploading and viewing My Health Record information.
By proactively planning and understanding potential threats, most risks can be controlled. In the event of an accidental data breach or an external attack resulting in a data breach these policies and processes can be activated to contain the impact of the breach and support those affected.
