Help shape Victoria’s first Antimicrobial Resistance Strategy

We have embarked on developing the first Victorian Antimicrobial Resistance Strategy 2021-2031. A comprehensive consultation process has been launched and will provide an opportunity for key stakeholders and the public to provide input into the objectives and priority actions of the strategy.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR)  refers to when micro-organisms (bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites) develop resistance to antimicrobial substances, like antibiotics.

The emergence of AMR represents a real and growing threat in Victoria and across the world. The emergence of AMR is relevant for the health of humans, animals and the environment.

Find out how you can share your knowledge and to help develop the first Victorian Antimicrobial Resistance Strategy.
