The Medical Workforce Planning Advisory Group (MWPAG) was established in July 2017 to provide advice and guidance to the department on issues related to the education, training and development of Victoria’s medical workforce across the career continuum from students to specialists in their field.
MWPAG facilitates strategic discussion and feedback on issues related to having a flexible and sustainable medical workforce that is well placed to address current and future challenges and complexities in the delivery of health services to the Victorian community.
MWPAG enables us to strengthen and support our partnerships with stakeholders across government, health services, the education sector and professional bodies and inform the development and implementation of health workforce strategic policies, programs and initiatives.
Members have an active role in the education, training and development of the Victorian medical workforce.
