Victoria has been notified of no new cases of coronavirus since yesterday.
This is the 70th day in a row of no new locally acquired cases in Victoria.
The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 20,526.
Update: Vaccinations
A total of 9,158 COVID-19 vaccination doses were administered yesterday by state commissioned services across Victoria.
This brings the total number of vaccine doses administered by the Department as of yesterday to 249,405.
Victorians aged 50 and over are now eligible to receive their vaccination at one of Victoria’s vaccination centres.

Update: NSW
More than 55,000 SMS messages have been sent by Victorian health authorities to people arriving from Sydney since 30 April.
The messages instruct the recipients to check the NSW public exposure site listings linked to two recent community cases of COVID-19 and if they have attended a site on the specified dates and times, they must follow the relevant advice to isolate and get tested, and contact the Victorian Department of Health.
To date, five people in Victoria have been identified as NSW exposure site contacts and are being managed by public health authorities. They are all isolating. Three of these contacts have returned negative test results and the other two have been tested and are awaiting results.
Genomic sequencing results from the COVID-19 case in Sydney have narrowed the field of public health concern. All areas in New South Wales remain as green zones under Victoria’s travel permit system.
People entering Victoria from a green zone require a permit. Permits take five minutes to obtain at Services . Permits help authorities in Victoria contact people should the situation in any state change.
Authorised Officer presence and spot checking has been increased for incoming flights from Sydney to check for permits.
NSW Health has identified more exposure sites. If you are currently in Victoria and have been to any of the exposure sites on New South Wales COVID case locations follow the advice listed to test and isolate, and immediately contact the Victorian Department of Health at 1300 651 160.
NSW Health has tiered exposure sites according to risk.
In Victoria, attendees at NSW close contact sites will be managed as Tier 1 contacts and must immediately isolate, get a COVID-19 test, and remain isolated for 14 days.
Attendees at NSW casual contact sites now in Victoria will be managed as Tier 2 contacts and need to get tested and isolate until the receive a negative result.
If you are currently in NSW and have visited a listed exposure site, you should be following the advice of NSW Health and should not be travelling to Victoria, or anywhere.
This initial positive case came to the attention of authorities because someone with symptoms did the right thing and got tested. It’s an important reminder that anyone with even the mildest of symptoms gets a coronavirus test as soon as possible.

If you are currently in Victoria and have been to a Tier 1 exposure site you must immediately contact the Victorian Department of Health at 1300 651 160 and quarantine for 14 days.
Other Queensland public exposure sites, as listed on the Queensland , are considered Tier 2 exposure sites. Anyone who has visited a Tier 2 exposure site during times listed should contact the Victorian Department of Health at 1300 651 160, get a and isolate until they receive a negative result.
Western Australia
Western Australia Health has published a list of exposure sites at Locations visited by confirmed .
Victoria
Victoria has declared all exposure sites since 27 April as Tier 1 exposure sites. If you are currently in Victoria and have been to a Tier 1 exposure site you must immediately contact the Victorian Department of Health at 1300 651 160 and quarantine for 14 days.
Update: All contacts of WA interstate case now cleared
All 265 primary close contacts from a positive COVID-19 case linked to a hotel quarantine facility in Perth have been released from quarantine after receiving negative results to their Day 13 tests.
The contacts included passengers, crew and ground crew from Qantas flight QF778 which arrived in Melbourne from Perth on Wednesday 21 April.
The case, a man aged in his 50s, tested positive in Victoria on Friday 23 April after being a primary close contact of positive COVID-19 cases in a hotel quarantine facility in Perth. He is no longer an active case.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms include fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath and loss or change in sense of smell or taste. If you are experiencing any symptoms, wear a fitted face mask when you get tested.
