Update: Western Australia travel permit zones and primary close contacts
Three new cases were reported in Western Australia yesterday related to hotel quarantine.
WA has maintained heightened restrictions following its recent outbreak and the WA Chief Health Officer has reported limited community exposures sites from these cases.
Using information from orange zone permits, more than 3,800 SMS messages were sent to people who have arrived from Perth since 27 April 2021 asking them to visit Case alerts – public exposure and contact the Department if they have visited the listed sites during the exposure period.
These sites are being treated as tier one exposure sites meaning people visiting those sites during the exposure periods will be required to quarantine for 14 days and be tested. Exposure sites are frequently updated so it is important to check this site regularly for any changes.
Victoria will continue to closely monitor the situation and the Perth and Peel regions remain designated orange zones under Victoria’s travel permit system.
Queensland – new exposure sites at airport
Queensland reported an unauthorised entry into their airport green zone on Friday by a person who later tested positive for COVID-19. While the risk of community exposure is low, the Queensland Chief Health Officer has declared a small number of public exposure sites at Brisbane airport.
Passengers who travelled from Brisbane to Melbourne on 29 April 2021 are being followed up and asked to visit Case alerts - public exposure and contact the Department if they have visited the listed sites during the exposure period.
These sites are being treated as tier one exposure sites meaning people visiting those sites during the exposure periods will be required to quarantine for 14 days and be tested. Exposure sites are frequently updated so it is important to check this site regularly for any changes.
