Update: QR codes
Victorians will notice a change when they check in at a venue with the Service Victoria app.
From Tuesday morning, patrons will be asked to also provide their last name.
This change is all about making sure the data accessible to our contact tracers is as comprehensive as possible in the event that a venue is declared an exposure site. The change also brings Victoria in line with other states.
Most Victorians who have already downloaded the Service Victoria app won’t need to do anything except enter their surname next time they use the app.
If you use an older version of the app, you will be prompted to download an update and we encourage you to do so.
Remember, your information is deleted 28 days after check-in, unless it is required by contact tracers.
