Victoria has recorded no new cases of coronavirus since yesterday.
This is the 23rd day in a row that Victoria has recorded no locally acquired new cases of COVID-19.
There is one active case in Victoria, made up of zero locally acquired cases, unchanged since yesterday, and one overseas acquired case, a decrease of one since yesterday.
The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 20,483.
Update: Vaccinations
A total of 1,369 COVID-19 vaccination doses were administered yesterday at hospital vaccination hubs across Victoria.
This brings the total number of vaccine doses administered in Victoria since the program started on Monday 22 February to 53,681.
Today marks the conclusion of the fourth week of the Commonwealth’s vaccination program in Victoria.
On 22 February, Victoria set a target of 40,000 vaccine doses to deliver by the end of the program’s fourth week. That well over 50,000 doses have been delivered is a testament to Victoria’s health professionals who have worked so tirelessly over the last month.
The new high-volume vaccination centres – the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre and the Royal Exhibition Building – will commence their soft launch this week. We’ll be starting slow and steady at these high-volume sites, conducting dry runs over the first few days and ensuring all the systems and processes are safely in place.
Two high-volume vaccination centres are already in operation at Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and Sunshine Hospital.
Victoria is continuing to support the Commonwealth with their vaccination program, with further expansion of the program dependent on vaccine supply.
