Region of Choice (RoC) is a Victorian Government initiative that aims to recruit and retain allied health workers in regional communities of Victoria.
RoC offers a recruitment and retention service in regional Victoria for publicly funded health and community services, allied health workers and employers.
The service offers:
- information about employment opportunities in regional Victoria
- information about living and working in regional Victoria
- support to assist allied health workers find employment
- assistance to employers in recruiting and retaining allied health workers
- access to orientation programs
- access to incentive programs and support.
Eligibility
The following allied health workers are eligible to access the RoC recruitment and retention service:
- allied health assistants
- audiologists
- biomedical scientists
- clinical psychologists
- hospital pharmacists
- medical imaging technologists
- medical laboratory scientists
- medical physicists
- medical radiation therapists
- nuclear medicine technologists
- occupational therapists
- orthoptists
- orthotists/prosthetists
- pharmacy technicians
- physiotherapists
- podiatrists
- social workers
- sonographers
- speech pathologists.
