Location of VPRS services

Inpatient Rehabilitation

Specialist paediatric inpatient rehabilitation will be provided by tertiary level paediatric service providers.  This will occur at:

• Royal Children’s Hospital
• Monash Medical Centre, Southern Health

Ambulatory Rehabilitation

Paediatric ambulatory rehabilitation will be provided at both tertiary level paediatric service providers and at other health services providing paediatric ambulatory rehabilitation services.  This will occur at:

• Royal Children’s Hospital
• Monash Medical Centre, Southern Health
• Angliss Hospital, Eastern Health
• Anne Caudle Campus, Bendigo Health Care Group
• McKellar Centre, Barwon Health

Ambulatory care can be delivered in a range of settings. These may include:

• hospital
• community rehabilitation centre
• client’s home
• school environment
• other recreational settings.

Outreach services

Outreach services involve the provision of support to local or regional service providers. The main intent of outreach services are to provide specialist services closer to a client’s home and build capacity in the local community.
