Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service

The Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) specifically caters for children and adolescents who, as a result of injury, medical/surgical intervention, or functional impairment, will benefit from a program of developmentally appropriate, time-limited, goal-focussed multidisciplinary rehabilitation.  This includes children and adolescents with congenital, developmental-based or acquired conditions amenable to rehabilitation. The VPRS will build on and integrate with existing paediatric and rehabilitation service platforms.

The VPRS is comprised of a statewide management team, two inpatient services at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Southern Health and eight ambulatory services at Ballarat Health Services, Barwon Health, Bendigo Health Care Group, Eastern Health, Goulburn Valley Health, Southern Health and the Royal Children’s Hospital.
