Important entry informationThe 2009 Minister for Health Volunteer Awards nominations must be submitted through the online submission system. The chief executive from eligible organisations (pdf file, 60kb) can nominate one individual and one team from their organisation. Make sure that the checkbox is ticked on the online submission form indicating chief executive endorsement. To be eligible the nominee(s) must work in a voluntary (unpaid) capacity in a Victorian Government funded healthcare or primary healthcare organisation, or have conducted unpaid volunteer work. The entry should provide information about the nominee(s), the reason for the nomination, and the benefits which have flowed to patients, clients, or the community from the nominee’s dedication and service. The following supporting files are encouraged to accompany the entry.
Entry steps
Assessment periodThere is no specific time period for the Awards but it is preferable that the nominee is currently working in a voluntary capacity at the nominating organisation, or if ceased employment, to have done so in the previous 12 months. Assessment criteriaThe judging panel, which includes the Minister for Health, will review the entries and consider the nominee’s relative merits in relation to their commitment, level of service and the benefits of their work for Victorian consumers, organisation or community.
