About the Awards

The aims of the 2009 Minister for Health Volunteer Awards:

  • highlight and celebrate volunteering and its significant contribution to public healthcare in Victoria

  • recognise the individuals and teams who demonstrate outstanding dedication and commitment to public healthcare in Victoria.

The Minister for Health is calling for nominations for the inaugural award scheme which celebrates and recognises the dedicated volunteers who are at the heart of Victoria’s public healthcare system. The Awards will be announced at a special ceremony attended by the Minister for Health during National Volunteer Week 11-17 May 2009.
