Victorian Consultative Council on Anaesthetic Mortality and Morbidity

The Victorian Consultative Council on Anaesthetic Mortality and Morbidity (VCCAMM) was established in 1976 under Section 13 of the Health Act 1958. From 1 January 2010, VCCAMM operates pursuant to Sections 33-43 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (as amended).

The function of VCCAMM is to identify avoidable causes of morbidity or mortality related to anaesthesia and to disseminate as widely as possible, the results of deliberations in order to improve the safety and quality of anaesthesia practice.
