Waiting List Referral & Access Policies & Guidelines

This document provides policy direction for managing elective surgery patients in Victorian public hospitals. It replaces the Elective surgery access policy (2005) including its appendices: Guidelines for the removal of patients from the waiting list (2003) and Guidelines for hospital-initiated postponements for elective surgery (2001) and the Elective surgery waiting list referral policy: referring public patients from private rooms (2005).
