Victorian Radiotherapy Services

Patient Choices

If you, or someone you care for, has been referred for radiotherapy, you can choose to receive treatment in a public or private radiotherapy service.

The attached brochure describes the differences, and provides some guidance on what you will need to consider before deciding whether you will be treated as a public or private patient and where to receive treatment.

The brochure refers to Western Hospital, but is applicable to all public hospital patients
