Page content: Overview | Download document

Overview

The purpose of this paper is to assist in delivering high-quality health care in Victoria by identifying the initiatives that serve to monitor and measure quality for the purpose of improving what we do and how we do it at a practical and a strategic level. The paper shows how the various parts of the formalised Victorian quality and safety monitoring system relate to one another. It identifies opportunities for doing things better, and perhaps provides some useful insights into how the current system might best adapt to existing and future challenges and transitions to new ways of doing things.
