Overview

The purpose of “Finding consumers and carers: A guide to sourcing consumer, carer and community members for collaborative health service improvement” is to assist health services to involve consumers to participate in collaborative quality and safety activities for health service improvement.

The Guide is a listing of consumer organisations that are interested in working with health services to improve the quality and safety of health care.

An enhanced online version of the Guide has now been developed which allows users to conduct a variety of searches for organisations based on information such as relevant clinical area, geographical scope or demographic data.  The search results may assist potential users of the guide to source consumers, and community members to collaborate on safety and quality improvement initiatives.
