Clinical Leadership in Quality and Safety (CLiQS)
Page content: Program aim | Target audience | More information Effective clinical leadership is known to be an important driver of health care quality and safety improvement. On this basis the VQC has engaged the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) and consortium partners La Trobe University, Qualityworks, and the Australian Centre for Leadership Development to develop and deliver a leadership program that explores how best-practice clinical leadership can be applied in a practical way to address quality and safety issues within health care settings. Program aimThe CLiQS program aims to equip people who have a clinical background with the leadership skills and knowledge to successfully lead, and participate in, improving the safety and quality of consumer care. Target audienceThe program is primarily targeted at clinicians with demonstrated leadership potential, who maintain a clinical role, and who work at or equivalent to team leader through to unit manager level.
