The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetist (ANZCA)
In 2005 ANZCA’s Faculty of Pain Medicine published the second edition of their clinical guideline on acute pain management – Acute Pain Management: Scientific Evidence. ANZCA have also published an informative booklet for patients on acute pain and the importance of appropriate management. Both documents are available for download from the College’s website.
The National Prescribing Service (NPS)
The NPS are an independent, non-profit organisation providing medicines information and resources for consumers, health professionals, members and stakeholders involved in Quality Use of Medicines. They have recently released their own acute postoperative pain (APOP) drug use evaluation (DUE) toolkit:
