Page contents: Background | Current status | Downloads | Toolkit regional forum presentations

Background

In 2007 the VQC published the initial Acute Pain Management Measurement Toolkit (APMMT) to assist health services to measure the effectiveness of acute pain management at the individual patient level and at a wider system level.

A short implementation project was completed in late 2007 in twenty-five Victorian health services. The project aimed to evaluate the impact of the toolkit and to identify barriers to implementation. The results from the project were published in April 2008. The final report and all project resources/ patient information are available for download.

Current status

The VQC has completed (May 2009) a supplement to the Toolkit to assist in the measurement of acute paint practice at  clinical & organisational levels. The supplement and full toolkit is available now.
