Pressure Ulcer Point Prevalence Surveys (PUPPS)
In 2003, the Victorian Quality Council conducted the first state-wide survey of the prevalence of pressure ulcers within Victoria’s acute and subacute health services.
Recommendations from the PUPPS Reports have led to:
- Development of Pressure Ulcer Basics – an online education program
- Development of the Pressure Ulcer Clinical Indicator Data Set
- $2million funding for a state-wide mattress replacement program
- Development of consumer information brochures
