Pressure ulcersA pressure ulcer is defined as a lesion caused by unrelieved pressure resulting in damage of underlying tissue. Pressure ulcers are an internationally recognised patient safety problem and are largely preventable. Information contained in these pages is aimed at assisting users with reducing the severity and number of pressure ulcers.
