Pressure Ulcers Basics
Pressure Ulcer Basics is an online education program developed for use by all clinical staff. The package is composed of three modules:
Module 1 – Understanding Pressure Ulcers
(Duration: approx. 45 min)
Outlines the occurrence of PUs and describes the impact they have on patients, carers and the health care system.
Module 2 – Risk Assessment
(Duration: approx. 25 min)
Describes the importance of assessing PU risks and outlines the use of risk assessment tools.
Module 3 – Developing a Prevention Management Plan
(Duration: approx. 25 min)
Describes strategies available to develop a risk management plan.
Note: Currently this online eLearning package does not support Apple MAC computers. It only works under a Windows operating system.
