Clinical placements in Victoria

Clinical placements play an important role in preparing professional-entry healthcare students for their part in the future health workforce. In Victoria, 11 Clinical Placement Networks (CPNs) facilitate locally driven, stakeholder-led clinical placement initiatives, and the Victorian Clinical Placements Council (VCPC) provides statewide leadership and advice on professional-entry clinical placement issues

Clinical Placement Solution Series 3: Building Capacity

The Clinical Placement Solution Series continues in May 2013 with the forum 'Building Capacity'. The event will present clinical training capacity-building initiatives that have been trialled across Victoria.

viCPortal: clinical education resources online

viCPortal (viCPortal.net.au) is a new, online catalogue for Victorian clinical education resources including training materials, project reports and case studies. It has been developed to disseminate the outcomes of 146 funded projects across Victoria and facilitate uptake of successful strategies.

New resources are uploaded as projects conclude. The first tranche of resources will be available from January 2013 and includes materials, reports and case studies.

viCPortal is possible due to funding made available by Health Workforce Australia and the Department of Health.
