PerinatalThis site contains information on the following: The Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity (CCOPMM) was established in 1962 under the Health Act 1958, and is the advisory body to the Minister for Health on maternal, perinatal and paediatric deaths. The Victorian Perinatal Data Collection Unit (VPDCU) was established in 1982, by an amendment to the Health Act under the auspices of the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity (CCOPMM). The VPDCU collects information on all births in Victoria. The Victorian Birth Defects Register (VBDR) was established in 1984 and collects information on all infants born since January 1, 1982. The maintenance of this register is an ongoing function of the VPDCU. |
