About Fairer Health Facts 2009"The aim of reducing inequalities in health is already integral to Victorian health and human services programs. Health is a necessary resource for living. With good health people are capable of growing, learning, sharing and enjoying life – they can participate fully in society and the economy. Inequalities (or avoidable and unfair differences) in health provide a fundamental measure of the fairness of a society. The 15 summary indicators presented in this report together provide a brief but comprehensive picture of fair health in Victoria."
About Kids 'Go for your life': Health Promotion Planning Tool"A resource for Primary Care Partnerships and health promotion funded agencies in Victoria for the planning of effective strategies to address healthy eating, physical activity/active play, and overweight and obesity among children."
About Gender and Diversity Tool - The Gender and Diversity Lens for Health and Human Service"DHS has recently produced the Gender and Diversity Lens for Health and Human Services (the lens), to support systematic consideration of gender and diversity, in order to ensure effective responses to health and wellbeing issues over time." Primary Care Partnerships and organisations funded for integrated health promotion (IHP) across Victoria are currently developing their Integrated Health Promotion Plans for 2009-2012. This document aims to assist organisations and consortia to incorporate gender and diversity analysis into their planning work. More information about the planning requirements for integrated health promotion can be found on the Community Health website.
