SCTT 2012 General Pilot – Invitation to pilot

Introduction

As part of the SCTT 2012 revision a pilot is being arranged to test the revised SCTT templates. Participants are being sought to pilot test the revised SCTT over the week 26 to 30 September 2011.

Purpose

The pilot purpose is to determine whether new or changed items /questions within the SCTT templates collect the correct information to assist in making an appropriate referral.

Methodology

The pilot methodology will be a scenario approach that will be based on testing SCTT against a number of case scenarios which will cover SCTT items and questions for different target populations. There will be two distinct staff groups involved in the pilot: The first group comprising of staff with experience using the SCTT and the second group will comprise staff that have little or no experience using SCTT.

Outcomes

The data collected through the pilot will be analysed for reliability, utility and usability. The results will be documented in a report for consideration by the Department of Health SCTT 2012 Revision Steering Committee who will endorse the final composition of the SCTT.

Invitation to participate SCTT 2012 Revision Pilot Project

On behalf of the Victorian Department of Health and La Trobe University, we invite you to take part in the SCTT 2012 Revision Pilot Project.  We are looking for participants to test and comment on the utility, usability and practicality of the SCTT 2012 revisions by attending a workshop to pilot test the full SCTT 2012 suite and take part in a focus group to discuss the revised tool.

Workshops will be held on:

Date:       26 September, 2011 (experienced SCTT users) Time: 10am-3pm

               27 September, 2011 (novice/new users)          Time: 10am-3pm

At:           Department of Health, Level 2, 50 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.

Practitioners/agencies participating in the workshops will receive some level of reimbursed by the Department. Lunch will also be provided by the Department.

If you are interested in attending the workshop please register your interest by emailing Barbara Parker, at b.parker@latrobe.edu.au by 4pm on 22 September.  A Participant Information and Consent Form will then be emailed to you and a researcher will contact you to confirm your availability.
