Planning Data Sets (PDS)
The Planning Data Sets (PDS) are intended to facilitate access to data to support organisational strategic and service planning. The data sets are used by Primary Care Partnerships (PCPs) and are also widely used by community health services, general practice divisions, local government, department staff and service planning consultants.
The data sets contain up-to-date socio-demographic and health services utilisation data. The layout has been modified to accommodate current and historic data sets. They provide information by local government area and comparisons across multiple levels, including state and regional levels. Relevant information regarding the data sources is included in each table.
Due to licensing and copyright issues for some population data, access to the online PDS is limited to authorised users.
