To strengthen and support the strategic and executive leadership team in management of patient flow.
Change Concepts
- Develop organisational whole system improvement plan
- Review waiting list Policy
- Review on-call systems
- Develop champions within outpatients, day surgery, theatres, and radiology
- Implement performance monitoring against whole system measures using a balanced set of measures which should be graphical in presentation
- Empower de centralise; smart systems for flow of patients
- Implement communications plan with reward system
- Champion strong leadership and can do attitude
- Effective escalation policy for bed management
- Nominated management champions for winter pressures, reducing variation in activity and demand and bed management.
