Special Needs ServicesMotor Neurone Disease Association This service provides family support that includes the assessment of
needs and referral to generic service providers, and support for the generic
service provider in meeting the needs of people living with Motor Neurone
Disease. The association also provides equipment, a range of community
and professional education activities and manages and supports the volunteer
base of the association. This service provides family support services to families who have a
child with a progressive life threatening illness or a child who has died.
It also provides training for volunteers in service support and supervision. Victorian HIV Consultancy - Supporting your palliative and complex care needs The purpose of this service is to ensure that all people living with
and affected by HIV/AIDS in Victoria have access to optimal palliative
care and support. Victorian Paediatric Palliative Care Program This service is an alliance between the Royal Children’s Hospital,
Monash Medical Centre and Very Special Kids. It provides specialist paediatric
palliative care advice to health professionals providing care to children
and their families, enabling children to receive optimal care without
the requirement to change the location of their care, or their providers. |
