PAC Search Database – Which PAC service do I refer to?

Click on the Excel spreadsheet document below to open the list of postcodes and associated PAC programs.

Use the Find function to search the postcode. To do this

  • Windows: press "Ctrl (Control)" and "F" keys together to activate search
  • Mac: press "Command" and "F" keys together to activate search

A Find pop-up box will appear on screen. Type the client's postcode in the "Find What:" field and select 'find'.

What do I do if a postcode is listed under two LGAs?
Some postcodes stretch across Local GOvernment Area (LGA) boundaries and are assigned to different PAC programs. Under these circumstances, ascertain which council the patient belongs to. You can ask the patient which council they pay their rates to as a simple way of determining the LGA. Once you have done this, direct the referral to the appropriate PAC program listed in the PAC search database.
